    The problem was that three of the capacitors in the power supply went bad. It was apparent that the capacitors were bad since they were bulky on top. I replaced the three 16V@1000mFarads capacitors as suggested in another help page. It fixed the problem and now works as new. Again, than you to the person that suggested the solution. A $5 solution (capacitors from Radio Shack) saved me $100's on a new TV. Thanks.

    Replace the capacitors on the inverter board.They are 1000mf 16volt caps.
