    Nature is the world round us, except for human-made phenomena. As humans are the only animal species that attentively, powerfully manipulates the natural environment, we believe of us as exalted, as special? We accept that in a target outlook we are only one of numerous organisms, and that we are not adept to endure out-of-doors of our natural world of air, soil, water and life. But we are inclined to be poor managers in the "hierarchy" of animal life. Despite our vastness, too often we waste, we battle, and we type heedlessly, and are too selfish and short-sighted. I notice the expanding perception of ecology, not less than in Western heritage, and am heartened. We may still change our tools for fighting of conflict into devices of calm, and our customs of despoliation into nurturing.

   Earth is so large, that even if humans decimate us, in addition to most other life types, there will still be nature. The dirt, seas, air and climate would still combine with solar power to permit some life to exist. Earth will not be a barren location like the moon. Humans can, then, decrease our planetary paradise into a torment of kinds, but will not, I accept as factual, decimate the planet itself.
   This considered, sober and gloomy, is an up to date one; in previous ages it is improbable that persons considered us wiping-out most life on earth. I don't understand why I conveyed it to the forefront of my environment essay. It does offer a perspective.
