Hello,

From my Grandfather, I have a 4 piece #17, purchased in Harrisburg PA on May 3, 1940 (he was meticulous with his notes!). I read in another post that a genuine agate stripping guide would put this rod in a "rare" category. Is this true, and how would I tell? The first guide is metal looking on the outside and the inside appears sort of a translucent red color. The black writing reads #17-81/2-21 (this part is easily read), but is followed by something like "&10 Hou 6". The overall condition is as perfect as my Grandfather's notes. Thanks for your help. Jeff
