I work for a major health insurance company and they are requesting that we are expected to take part in activities regarding our health. If we do not participate we will be surcharged $20.00 per month on our health insurance. The activities consist of taking a Health Risk Assessment 65 questions, Get our biometric screenings (total lipid panel, glucose, height, weight and blood pressure and attend two health related meetings. The biometric screenings is how this will be handled. They will not be able to view "individual" employee information but receives the information in aggregate form in order to analyze and plan wellness initiatives. However as is done if a person's results show them to be at high risk for one of the chronic diseases managed by my employer case management nurses, the staff will notify a care management nurse and request them to contact that individual to offer private health coaching. To me this is for me to know not my employer
