Combination of Headphone and microphone with USB, will it works on PS3?

   In my opinion the one you have the combination of Headphone and microphone with USB should be fine. I do not think that there is any reason which will not helpful unless certain frequencies would bypass the headset directly to the TV. Use the accessory setting for mices, plug it into a USB port and the PS3 will recognize it. As for broadcasting in 5.1, I am not quite sure it will do that through a USB port, but it will still work.
   The combination of Headphone and microphone with USB should works on PS3 for you. I have seen this done twice, one worked perfectly the other had sound but no mic. I wrote that one off as a spotty unit since it was some manufacturer I had never heard of.
   Please try it and if it will not work then you must have to go and buy a Bluetooth for it.

   The one you have should be fine. I would try it out just to be sure. I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't unless certain frequencies would bypass the headset directly to the TV.
   
   Give it a try what's the worst that could happen you have to go buy a blu tooth.
