I had surgery to fix stage 3 Bilateral Sulcus Vocalis in December, and had my second post-op appointment this past friday. I had fat graphted on the left, along with muscle facia, as it was far worse off attatched to the vocal ligament, and fat injected on the right. The doctor told me that my body had absorbed about 80% of the fat implanted. The left chord is a lot straighter than it used to be and "took" better than the right side which looks like it did before surgery and that the vocal chords werent where he expected them to be at this stage (5 weeks later). I have been instructed to go to speech therapy to see if they can get vibration out of my chords.
My question is, if I opt to have this procedure done again, how likely is it that it will work the second time around? Will the body generally do the same and absorb pretty much all of it again? and are there any other options as far as new procedures that would help me?
