GreenThumb bateries

My GreenThumb timer worked fine last year. I turned it off for the winter and now that it sis spring it des not work. The batery power indicator shows LO. I have changed the bateries several times and the batery indicator stays on LO. THe time seems to work, but the activation time shows the LO. Is there something that I need to do to restart the timer?
