   Benjamin Godard’s complete name is Benjamin Louis Paul Godard. He was born in 18th August, 1849 and he was a French violinist and Romantic composer.
   He was born in Paris, He went to the Conservatoire de Paris and there he got the education of violin. He had played a great music there. Until that time there are many compositions written by Godard. He was the winner of many awards. His last work was at Opera Comique in 1895. He has written many successful Opera’s. Godard didn’t like the music of Richard Wagner. His music was more matched with Felix Mendelssohn and Robert Schumann.
   He has also performed many symphonies including Symphony Gothique, Symphony orientale, Symphony Legendaire. His instruments were two piano concertos, three string quartets, four sonatas pour violin, a sonata for cello and piano.
   Some people do say that he didn’t get that much appreciation which he deserves. His unique and charm of the Opera is very popular and is not subject to change.
   His unique music has made him unique and separate from the rest of the Parisian composers and after his death he was there was a great space which was left in the composers industry. Although Godard became very famous composer in the late 1860’s, in his early ages he played violin to earn his livelihood. But while he was playing with his violin his music attracted the publishers and other people in the later 1860’s.
   Godard died from tuberculosis in Cannes and he body lies in Taverny which was his family plot.
