Garmin Forerunner 305 problems

Facing following problems:

1) Unit keeps switching off
2) Sometimes, when it comes on, it shows wrong date and time

Please help

    There are problems getting it to charge. Won't charge unless held onto the charger at a specific point. Any one else with the same problem or an answer to how to fix this. Thanks
