Garmin Asus-A10 duplicating when syncing. How to delete duplicates quickly and prevent duplication.

My Asus -A10 phone has duplicated all calendar and contact entries on my phone when syncing with Microsoft Outlook. How can I delete them quickly off my phone without having to do them individually and how do I stop them duplicating in future syncs.
