Francis Francis! x1 leaking

Hi;I have a Francis Francis x1 machine that I purchased as used from eBay two years ago. When I received it, there were a few tiny signs of leakage (tiny spots of rust and two small places where red enamel had chipped off), but I attributed this to a lack of caution with filling the water reservoir. Well, the rust and chipping got worse and in past few months, the boiler seemed a little erratic. (This was worse after using the frothing wand, so I staved off that...) Finally, the darn thing shocked me once or twice and blew a circuit replete with emitting a popping sound. Rather than burning down the house, I have stopped using it. (And, yes I descaled this machine regularly.)Is there any hope for repairing this machine or is it time to just get a newer and cheaper espresso machine? I know the quality history of X1s is questionable at best. --Therese
