The United States’ involvement in World Wars I and II did not occurred suddenly, Infect in WWI, President Wilson, who had built his re-election campaign around the slogan, that he kept the country out of war, entered the U.S. into WWI shortly after his re-election. Unfortunately, at the time when the German U-boats sank four unarmed American ships, Wilson was left with no choice than to ask Congress for a declaration of war. The primary goal to enter the U.S. into the war were not to take revenge from Germany but the chief objective was to preserve democracy within the U.S. and restore manifest destiny to a war-torn world. Additionally, the U.S. foreign policy of economic growth contributed to the U.S. involvement in WWI due to the reason that tensions were grown around both global trade and trade routes used prior to the war. Few aspects of US foreign policy during world wars are given below:
    • The foreign policy that U.S were practices at that was ridge, cautious, and self-centered and denies to be bound by any agreement to preserve international peace.
    • The fallow tight immigration laws and used Anti-Japanese immigration policy
    • The U.S. military size reduced
    • Washington wants World War I debts paid, due to which they quarrels with almost every country over different issues
    • During 1930, the nation remained in isolation
    • As WWII nears, US played a leading role in world’s affairs
    • During the World War II the U.S. becomes the dominant world power.
