Help! We have hard wired Firex smoke detectors. One is making a high frequency sound continuously that we cannot get to stop. What do we do to make it stop. It is horrible.

Many people online are having the same issues. Firex say to vaccuum it out and check the battery teminals on the unit and see if they are making contact. I have the same issue with many new batteries the beep doesn't go away. Bottom line i bought all new detector different brand and have not had a beep in a year. Firex knows about this problem but for some reason can't figure it out
