FireX 120-1072B keeps going off

My daughters condo is wired with connected (6) FireX 120-1072B detectors. The one in the kitchen was “killed” when water from the above bathroom overflowed and soaked it. I need to get a replacement, but in the meantime I took one of the remaining good ones and placed it in the kitchen (2 months later so things are dried out). BUT, whenever I plug it or any of the good ones in in the kitchen, all alarms are set off. What is the problem?? Could the plug be bad?
