I am writing an essay on both the anti-federalist paper no. 14 and the federalist paper no. 14. They are very difficult to read and need some explanation in laymen terms. Thanks for your help!

Number 14: Republic: Best for American People
We have glimpsed that we require a Union:
    • To defend us from foreign hazard [Numbers 3, 4, 5],
    • To hold the calm amidst us [Numbers 5, 6, 7, 8],
    • To guard our business [Number 11] and other widespread interests,
    • As the only alternate for those infantry establishments that have subverted the liberties of the Old World [Number 8].
    • As the antidote to infections of faction that have decimated other well liked governments.
Alarming symptoms of them have currently emerged in ours. [Number 10]
The last objection to talk about is founded on the dimensions of the Union. Some persons worry that a republic isn’t functional in such a large geographic area. Opponents of the new Constitution use this prejudice to create difficulties because they can’t find solid objections.
A republic does not have to be restricted to a little locality (as considered in paper Number 9). A republic has been bewildered with a democracy.
Most very vintage well liked authorities were democracies. Modern Europe evolved the large standard of representation. However, it has no demonstration of a absolutely well liked and republican government.
America evolved representation as the cornerstone of large republics. It is miserable that some persons desire to impede America from taking up the Constitution and displaying how well the scheme works.
