We plugged in the unit one day--after it had worked the day before--and nothing happened when we turned it on. The only sign of life is the timer, which still beeps and lights up when the button is pushed. Is there perhaps a fuse on the unit that I need to check? We have changed the plug to different outlets, and it doesn't work; and we have plugged other appliances into the outlets where the A/C was plugged, and they all worked fine.
