I have a fairly new LG SuperMulti RC797T. I am having terrible trouble with 'unknown disk' errors before and soemtimes during recording resulting in a serious loss of material. I have tried both + and - discs now from both Sony & TDK. Same problem. I am at a loss to know what to do. If the mc is left on too long does that affect it? Any ideas please. I am desparate. My daughter in the UK with a JVC has 1 in 100 fail. I have probably 30 in 100 or worse. I normally do 4 hrs in i hr segments but have had the same problem with 2 hr hr 1 hr segments.
