Facebook will be testing a new social buying service. the rumors came true when Facebook removed its old Deals locator landing page and put up a new Facebook Deals subscription page which allows interested users to subscribe for its coupon like checking deals. Subscribers will eventually get updates via email. Facebook told PC World in a statement “We will test a new feature for our Deals product that allows people to buy deals on Facebook and share them with their friends. Local businesses will be able to sign up to use this feature soon and people will be able to find Deals in the coming weeks”. The new feature will center around social buying and this new feature will focus on people who want to sign up for activities with their friends. It is said that businesses will be able to sign up for the deals soon and that Facebook users will be able to buy deals in the next few weeks. At the moment the new deals landing page supports San Francisco, Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, San Diego with “more cities coming soon.”
