FDD FD-05HG 5661 3.5" floppy drive won't read disc. Help

I have a Brother's Embroidery Machine with a FDD FD-05HG 5661 3.5" floppy drive. When I put the disc in now it says there's no disc or the disc is defective. The disc work on my computer. Do I have a bad drive?
