The funny thing is, he's fitter than Hargreaves is. I saw Dario Silva score a penalty a few months back.
  10. Gareth Williams
Was Dario Silva the player that lost a leg? Thats a bit bellow the belt.
  11. Phillothen
Is someone on a commission to diss david james here? David is a, albeit older, professional who has great hair and appreciates fine art. I'd rather him than some Leicester vagabond like Kirkland.
  12. Robert Swan
Owen Hargreaves has as much chance of reaching the World Cup finals as Dario Silva.
  13. Gareth Williams
Well we may as well give Shilton another crack if we are going to bring James. I like Milner, he's had about 100 caps for the under 21's he was still playing for them when he was 23?!
  14. markjones
Have you lot tried speaking to each other? It's much easier.
  15. Phillothen
we took shilton and he was way old; so much so, it took him 14 years to peddle backwards when Germany scored from a deflected free kick in the semi-final. and will everybody shut up about ashley young. he's peaked already and will be playing league one withone six years like sean thornton and james slowcroft.

Capello obviously doesn't fancy Young that much and he's missed his chance to impress whenever he has started. So much so that Milner is brought on to play down the left whenever Gerrard is subbed. That's also partly to do with Milner's work rate, but still. Stewart Downing is in with a shout too if he puts in some decent performances when he's recovered from injury, although O'Neill is going to play him through the middle.
  17. Gareth Williams
Yea Kirklands got ability! How many terrible mistakes has James made over the years and hes about 50. It's a sorry state of affairs when James is the best we can produce, i'd even rather the one from the womens team then James.
  18. Robert Swan
Where is Ashley Young in all this? You all heard Martin O'Neill last year, he's better than Maradona. No-one anticipating a Theo Walcott-esq late call up for Jack Wilshere then? ;-)

Chris Kirkland ahead of James? Come on really?
  21. Gareth Williams
Why would you both take James? Comedy value? How has he even lasted this long?
  22. jamie.nazareth
Foster, Green, James A Cole, Bridge Ferdinand, Terry, Upson, Lescott Johnson, Brown Walcott, Lennon Lampard, Barry, Gerrard, Hargreaves Milner, Rooney, Heskey, Cole, Defoe, Walcott

  24. Phillothen
As I have time on my hands just know, I am going to speculate. Assuming it is 3-8-8-4 (gk/def/mid/att) and there are no serious injuries going into SA 2010, this is who will go: foster (man u), james (portsmouth), green (west ham) rio ferdinand (man u), terry (chelsa), upson (west ham), lescott (man c), johnson (liverpool), a cole (chelsea), m richards (man c), bridge (man c) gerrard (liverpool), lanpard (chelsea), j cole (chelsea), barry (man c), lennon (spurs), walcott (arsenal), beckham (ac milan), milner (villa) rooney (man u), defoe (spurs), crouch (spurs), heskey (villa)
  25. Gareth Williams
