Elvis was a super star, a king renowned all around the world for his great music and attractive personality. He breathed his last on August 16 1977, at the age of 47. Elvis had a pretty messy end; the reason for his death was not unique, as he died from drug overdose. He had taken overdose of prescription medicine, which resulted in cardiac arrest. I believe what Elvis did was no less than a deliberate act of suicide. As one of Presley’s body guard had said that Presley was aware of the harmful side effects of the drugs that he took in overdoses. His journey to self destruction was slow, but was caused by himself. No person in his proper senses can revert to such an action; his postmortem reports revealed that he consumed a cocktail of about ten prescribed drugs which included, Morphine and Demerol, Chloropheniramine, an antihistamine, The tranquilizers Placidyl and Vailum. Elvis a day before his death had paid a visit to his dentist and had got a temporary cap. Many argue that if he had been planning a suicide, he would have never gone to see a dentist. But what his postmortem reports reveals, it clearly show, that he himself became the cause of his death.
