   Hello The answer is yes scar tissue can cause enough disruption in the brain to cause seizures. As far as any medication is concerned I would recommend Phenytek or Lamictal. Phenytek is an extended release capsule that does have a side effect of weakening your bones. So it is important to take a calcium supplement with Vitamin D. Lamictal does not have this side effect and helps stabilize mood if you ever have those troubles. All in all, I would recommend Lamictal. It does a great job of preventing both petite mal, grand mal, and complex partial seizures. Hope it helps
