Dometic refer stops working when the trailer is moving.

The gas mode quits working or is blown out by wind turbulence when the trailer is moving. Everytime I stop I find the display on CHECK, and I have to turn the controler off and then back on again. The refrigerator is 16 yers old, but the control unit was replaced about six years ago. The AC mode works fine, and the GAS mode works fine as long as the trailer is parked.
