We have crated our dog regularly when not home. As of late we have started crating at night because he chews. He also has always slept with our son, but one night before we went to bed we checked on our kids and he was so close to our five year old it bordered on smothering. This is the child he is most attached to and has always slept with. It made me nervous and we started crating. He poops, only p**p, in the crate every night we put him in. I don't know what to do, any suggestions?
