    Yes shoes should be taken off when you reach home. First reason the house from inside is always clean and as we come from out side where there could be mud or any other garbage attached underneath your shoes. And this might ruin you carpet or if there is no carpet then it can create dust in the floor if the house.  

   So when ever you reach home you should remove your shoes when you enter inside house. From there onwards inside the house there should be a pair of sleepers. 

   Same way the slippers which are used in bath rooms should also not be taken out side the bath room.

   yes. no shoes allowed in the house. shoes off in the porch and slippers on
