The human form of moulting is the shedding of skin and hair, which is more commonly known as shedding. The actual term moulting is correlated to animals that have exoskeletons, as they shed their old casing for a newer casing that gives room for growth. In essense as an animal grows the more frequent it will shed its old skin.
