Do British guys find American girls attractive? i love anything to do with the british, the royalty, accent, fashion and hot footballers. do the british men like american accent and most importantly do they like hot american girls like me. what is the best way to find out the answer for this?

    Let me tell you something about the southern states...they are the oldest part of america and all very culturally rich...(be it good or bad)....as a southern woman I am so proud to be from the south(generally the people are nicer, warmer, more calm, and more polite).  Now when I see some skinny blonde girl with long ratty extensions, eye liner running down her face and wearing shorts that her a*s hangs out of screaming "HI YALL!!!! LETS GET WASTED" I roll my eyes just as much as the next person...but there is a huge difference between a southerner and a redneck....I know that im classy just as many other girls are in the south, but as a whole american girls just like to have fun..dont mistake our carefree nature for sluty-ness....the person who posted is was just curious WOMEN LIKE TO TALK AND GOSSIP, as americans we feel like the rest of the world hates us..and its strange and nice to feel exotic or special.....also texas is strange...for real southern beauty try north carolina..lousiana..alabama.

    I would have to say that British men vary about their taste in women,  but what I have encountered most is that they do like exotic women. Women that are different then their English Roses.  No disrespect to British women but the British men I have spoken with have said that their ladies are a bit uptight and rigid, where as the American women seem more confident, carefree and have a refreshing honestly about themselves. I being an American woman, do find English accents attractive and find the men to be a bit more gentlemenly then the men in the states.

    well i'm a southern girl (alabama) and i like accents .... but really who doesn't? it's different, it's new. Yes i find british accents attractive... but i would say the same for like italian or japanese (idk? examples). i always wanted to move away from the south and go some where up north, but mostly only to find something new and have an adventure :) so yeah,.... i think it just boils down to it to being it as something new to experience and hear .....

    As an idiosyncratic Englishman, perhaps I should offer my opinion as to why I find the Southern accent attractive on American women. When I think of the Southern states I think of vast expanses of natural beauty and for some reason I relate the Southern accent of an American woman with a wild, untamed and exciting form of natural beauty. One of the previous posts mentioned that this particular accent sounds like song, this too is very true. I would imagine that this accent softly spoken into one's ear sounds like a lullaby, very sweet indeed. It has the capability to be both wild and exciting as well as marvellously endearing and that it a great quality. Have no illusions ladies of the South, your accent is very unique in its way, at least to this anonymous Englishman anyway.

    How do I know I live in London! I am married to an Englishman! I have had English/Scottish/Irish men come up to me in London ( mostly in café's) and compliment me on my accent.

    Telling me how they always wanted to meet a Belle! ''You have the most glorious voice'', ''your accent is brilliant'' ''You sound like you are singing when you speak.'' They do ask about my politics and I tell them I am politically an independent and ''religiously a humanist''.

    They like you are ignorant to the fact that the ''south'' is big place with many, many ideas.

    Mostly, they compliment me on my manners. My very voluptuous hair and the fact I smile and laugh. Even to the point when I walk into local pubs, they look over at me and say

    '' Language lads,Lady in the House'' So do British men like Southern Women?

    Well they sure as h**l adore me.

    I'm from Texas and i find british accents very attractive, i have lived in Texas all my life and i would have to say not all south is racist and hick-like. Many of us do care about education and aren't the wild people you pick us out for. No we dont ride horses to school. Im assuming not all the sterotypes we have for british people are true, just like how i know many of the sterotypes for Texas isnt true. Im assuming their is tons of diversity in England just like in Texas.      dialect, not accent...applies to variations in speech patterns/sounds et.al. in different regional/cultural groups who happen to speak the same language.  This is all so terribly banal and any t**t here who thinks they are somehow 'superior' is an intellectually dead, vacuous moron who obviously had not the brains to pay attention long enough to their teachers/professors/books, etc. to actually retain knowledge longer than what was deemed necessary in order to pass exams/test, etc.  Class is a HUMAN made construct designed to enslave peoples' minds and potentials.  I regret that most persons judge based on things as innocuous and insidious as individual culture and so -- called social parameters/'class'.  ....btw...everyone knows what goes on at those british schools... various studies have proven as far as is humanly possible the need for assurance, security, affection etc. in all (most particularly young) human beings...when a small person is torn from their initial source of all these essentials and placed into a 'pub. school' environment...things get odd, unnatural, and ...uh....twisted.  We all must grow, however, the soil one finds oneself in dictates the form the future plant will assume.  hope.   peace....,a yankeetart.

It might be because I associate them with a more interesting vocabulary, a humor that I like, and something to do with being more intellegent, dressing well and behaving better. Those associations come from the majority of my favorite writers being from parts of the UK, my favorite bands, Monty Python/Mighty Boosh and the English teenage guys I met who were amazingly intellectually active compared to the lazy, laid back mentallity of most U.S. male teens. You've got some awesome stereotypes around the world. I even like the way you party and drink. However, chavs suck, it makes me so sad to see England degradating. Please preserve your values, the proper gentlemen and the rockers ways are so awesome that they should become religions. Really, there are so many wonderfull people in the UK.

     

    ...and about British guys finding American girls attractive; an attractive person is an attractive person anywhere. All cultures have gorgeouse people and not really people. I'm sure someone in the UK would have an adequate judgment without generalization if they saw a pretty girl and an ugly girl.

     I'm an English guy.  And well I would like to consider myself as a British Gentleman as there's not many left in Britain AT ALL.  The only place you can find British gents nowadays are in British private schools as they are brought up with more of a traditional upbringing and have gone through proper elocution lessons.

    And personally I can not stand American girls accents. And in fact you all come across as being fake to me.

     I'm American and I live in Virginia so I guess I'm southern. And we had a foreign exchange student from orpington, uk visit us for a sememster and he was the hottest most gorgeous man I know. My family is polish but I was born and raised in america and I have an exotic look to me so I do get a lot of guys. But this british guy is sooo amazing. He lived with a different family but we ended up seeing each other a lot. But then he moved back and it was so sad. So now we go on skype and facebook to talk to each other.     id just like to clarify a couple of things on here.im an englishman,from yorkshire (in the north of the country for those that dont know) and i love the american accent in a girl just as much as the other guy,however i need you to know that there isnt a typical "british"accent to be found here as the country is so diverse with southern england,cockney,the west country,welsh,liverpool,birmingham,the north of england and sheffield(where i come from),newcastle,scottish,the list goes on....you could literally drive 60 miles and find people with a different accent,dialect and slang to where you have just been.im sure many brits will agree with me here that "posh" people are a rarity in england and a common stereotype,along with red buses,fish and chips,rain and bad teeth.the reality is many british men are nothing like in the movies and like any country in the world,there are nice people and not so nice people.to those girls thinking of coming across the pond to the UK,i highly suggest you get out of london and see britain for what it is,a vast melting pot of different people and cultures and there is so much more to it than just london,see the country and experience it first hand.after all, an american visiting london and saying they have "seen britain" would be like a brit going to disneyland and saying they have seen america.iv been to the US and i love american women,not so much for the accents but for the style and dress sense.im into the image of the "american college-girls",metalheads and the laid back surfer girls found on the beaches.i find many british women too materialistic,S****y,chavvy(check on urbandictionary for those than dont know)and annoying,particularly in my hometown (of course that is also a stereotype not to cause offense).i hope my comment has been of use and hit me up if not...

    Some American girls are attractive, as are some British - there are many people in Britain and in America. The Americans have several problems -- the landscape is characterized by homogeny in some places and the Southern States have certain ratial issues. Yet the standard of living (New York) for a middle class person was consistently higher than Britain/Scotland/Ireland where people were poor and didn't have home heating.

    The Americans political regime is all about arrogance, power and control, but it still takes them to fight off a bigger a*****e or an undemocratic regime somewhere else.

     I just want to express that Americans are also very proud of our culture and our history. We are very patriotic and opinionated, which may come off as the arrogance of "loudness" that many Europeans associate us with. Ofcourse there are some idiots in America, but there are idiots in every country.     I am an American girl who has lives in the Midwest, even though I was born in the Northeast. I love, love, love British accents. Honestly, I could listen to a British person all day! I find American accents boring, even the southern ones, I would love to live in England one day. American boys are boring too, they are so cocky!! British boys seem to be more like gentlemen.     Honestly, I'm an american female from the south and I do say, we're not all the same. Each individual, female american is quite different. Be it south, east, west, or north we are all quite different. If I take myself and my sister she is quite she shy one and I can say I can be loud, but I'm not obnoxious in anyway of my thinking. In honesty, I do think some American women get a bad reputation due to tv and poeple you see like Pamela Anderson and I myself am not one of those "showy" women. I do coverup and I can say most American women from where the part of the south I'm from do have quite the accents, but we aren't wild about how we view each other quite differently and I'm honest about this because of all we american women are standardized like. 1. Not all women are loud, 2. we do not all show off are feminine parts so eccentricly, 3. a good many of us are intellectuals, 4. we aren't worried about weight as much as other women seem to be, and 5. we are all different. In my own opinion, I would love any man whom I fall in love with, be it he's from China or the Uk. I don't care, if I do fall in love then I fall in love. SO to all those Brits who think of American  women as "easy", I would be mindful we American women do not like to fall to such standards. We can be a little obnoxious at times, we can be a redneck if you'd like to say it, but please don't think of us like this. We are all different and if you do find one of us loud or obnoxious or even easy, do tell us because we would like to know other peoples opinions. So this is the end of my discussion, so in retrospect you might change your mind on some of your illiterate thinking about us Southern women, because I myself am from the Mississippi region, a real part of the south. So do enjoy your time with an American women, we can be quite the classy babes. ;)

My personal mission when i eventually get to America is to nail as many Yanks as I can based on my accent. We're men- same all over the world, we want to get your kit off. The accent just gives us the edge. Most UK guys drink way too much, fight even more and regard football as gods law. No-one says 'bloody' 'cor blimey' 'well i say' or any other 50-year old idioms.     Well, what can I say, I looooove English men and I'm an American girl. I know that English men are different from American men in that they have a different sense of humour. Very cocky and quick! English men love American girls, or so I have been told. I have also heard that English women hate us and are jealous of us so BEWARE.     I THINK SO! my boyfriend is british, soo gorgeous, such a gorgeous accent! and i'm an l.a. girl. :) he thinks a lot of the things i say are very funny and entertaining just because i'm american. we are always laughing and comparing cultures...its so interesting and he's opened my eyes more than anyone else i've ever met! i think the brit and american relationship can work out great, as long as you are both open-minded and accepting of other cultures. we both knew there was a spark right from the start...the second i saw him in class during his first few weeks at my uni (college for americans), i couldn't keep my eyes off of him. i plan to study in london next year and keep this amazing relationship going! even though some of you said british men are not gentlemen, mine definitely is...and has the most wonderful manners. the sexiest accent too. ;)

    I most certainly do i have lived in both LA (Westwood) and New York (East Village), however i played on my accent something chronic, you Americans certainly love my Leeds Yorkshire accent.     K I'm an American girl and I got an English guy so obviously it isnt impossible. I think it depends on if the person is attracted to you completely as in looks, personality, etc. And BTW all of us American girls arent as brainless, high maintenance, or loud and obnoxious as some people think.     half of you don't even have a clue. if you're american then the chances are that you will stand out more than say a british girl. that's it. if you're dog ugly and a bit of a d**k then the chances are people won't find you attractive. i've met a few american girls at uni and think of them as i would a british girl. i'm fairly intrigued by them but that's it - nothing more. only an idiot would think that every single american girl is some materialistic, loud-mouthed spoilt little brat. and Guest14906852 - wake up mate. i don't know what rock you've been living under, but most british men are not gentleman and our women are certainly not ladies. in london i find a lot of british men to be big-headed, vacuous, flash c*nts who play on that whole gentleman facade just to get their d**k wet. i've been put of by british women as i find them to lack any class or values. majority of them would prefer to go out and get pissed as opposed to doing something productive with their time.

    British People, Me being one of them, are extremely defensive and proud of their country. We resent our pride being bruised, and most british men are the perfect gentlemen and the women...lady's. We like to be cultured and look down on the fellow Brits who aren't. Therefore we are accepting of any culture, look at how diverse our nation is, however we pride ourselves on our history, literature and of course our accent. We befriend people from other cultures, but never think them better than our own. We have an amazing history, and many people take our attitude as an insult and maybe having a sense of superiority, but this isn't the case. Looking at your first post it seems your the sort of person we would get annoyed with. You're extremley attracted to our culture? Think of some things that you know...that you did'nt need to google. If you are loud or ''high maintenance'', and the stereotypical American i would'nt waste time nor fuel in coming here.

    British blokes do find US girls to be attractive due to the fact tht they are so different. If they stay with them is a different matter, as in my group of friends we tend to find that our British (& Euro) girl's like you for "who" you are, whilst US girls like you for what you are. Maybe its because of the media just like US women think we are all like Hugh Grant. Sadly in London these days you are more likely to hooked-up with an African or Indian than true English Londoners, as most have moved out. Not being racist but its a fact. The English left over are either trying to look like gangsters or are from Northern regions or Essex. You need to find the right and secret areas where pockets of us still exist. Last point is, US people do normally get questioned heavily about their politics in a soft way although you should always remember no matter how deep it is good natured. In pubs we debate and talk rubbish. We make fun of each other all the time (when strangers are around it is subtle therefore many overseas people don't get it, so don't think we are laughing at you). You can and should join in and make fun of them without putting them down once they have started, you will be fine. We see women when talking as friends and then hopefully more. We are a bit shy compared to US and European guys so even if you don't fancy the guy but like him we could chat with you all night in a group. Although we love your confidence, don't talk too loud or be centre of attention but do laugh and join in jokes. We would never critise a US guest (unless you insult the Royals in my case!!) Most of all in Europe as a whole, we like individualism and people being comfortable in themselves, plus modesty. Show these and a sense of humour and you will be fine. If you come hope you have a lot of fun.

    I’m American and my Fiancé is British. You could defiantly hookup with a British Guy – What guy from any country would turn down a willing girl. My guy and I get along great but I’m a very laid back girl. I notice that they are not always fond of Americans especially loud ones. They are very proud of their country so be careful what you say. They do take showers and are clean I think it is ridiculous for people to say otherwise.

    yes quite frankly any foreign accents to our native british tongue drives us mad. ( in a good way ) I myself prefer the american accent they are speaking english so they understand what i am saying yet at the same particular second 9 for both they american and us brits) its like hearing french completely understanding it but you never took one class.     to answer the question realistically..... i would imagine that an american could get a british person just the same as anywhere else. are we all shallow or something ? why do looks and accent have to come into things. surely underneath that is what counts ? or am i getting old ? looks and great teeth...... god i've got no hope then have i !!! i'm english yet i don't find americans any different to us.

    It depends on your personality, i know its shalow but looks are also a very important factor, although its safe to say if you are from the southern states then your gonna find it difficult to pull even if you are attractive, sorry but everyone i know hates americans from the southern states and im pretty sure americans wouldnt be hated if these people didnt exist, further more its true we shower once a week, we actually have a bath for every other day of the week, and we no longer have bad teeth that is a horrible misconception which i absolutely despise, and we get free dental service so its difficult to see how we could end up with bad teeth. One last thing, this could be completely untrue, but do american girls really dig the british accent ( i know there are variations), mine is actually quite posh compared with the area i live (essex) which has a horrible cockney accent which could rival brummie and southern state accents. also i disagree with the person who said guys would be attracted instantley because of your accent british guys would generaly not take notice because it is very common accent in london, plus no accent at all in the world would make you stand out to british guys in london because you get pretty much everyone there
