U.S. Army partitions comprise of about 10,000 to 15,000 soldiers. They are established mostly in the United States, but some are positioned overseas. All partitions can perform maintained procedures in the area, but each one furthermore has a exceptional purposeful focus on armor or airborne operations. 1st Armored Division The 1st Armored Division is founded out of Wiesbaden, Germany. Their major battling force comprises of M1 Abrams containers and support infantry in armored staff carriers for example the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. 1st Cavalry Division This unit is furthermore an armor unit but it keeps the cavalry designation because the division's subordinate cavalry regiments were dragged from the equine cavalry flats living before World War I. For demonstration, the 1st Cavalry Division still keeps components of the 7th Cavalry Regiment, which was present at Little Big Horn in 1876. 2nd Infantry Division Based out of Camp Red Cloud, South Korea, and the 2nd Infantry Division assists the South Korean infantry fight back the armistice line established at the end of the Korean War from North Korean forces. 82nd Airborne Division The 82nd Airborne, founded out of Fort Bragg, California, focuses in injecting highly taught battle armies into the battlefield by parachute. The 82nd's nickname, "All American," was established from the detail that when the partition was formed in 1917 there were fighters present from all 48 of the states that constituted the amalgamation at the time. 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) The 101st furthermore begun out as an airborne partition in World War II, but with the advent of helicopters in the 50s and 60s, the unit eventually swapped to the "Air Assault" designation in 1974. In 2010, the "Screaming Eagles" travel in Blackhawk and Chinook helicopters to their objective. The 101st Airborne is positioned in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
