   Complete name of David Cassidy is David Bruce Cassidy who was born as an American actor on 12th April 1950. He was best known for his character in the 1970’s sitcom. He was also very popular among the teens. The popular song Daydream Believer was also sung by the popular singer David Cassidy. This song remained at top of the UK chart list in October 1973.
   John Stewart was a folk singer who wrote the song Daydream Believer. John Stewart was a member of Kingston Trio from 1961 to 1967 and he teamed up with John Denver after leaving the group. In the year 1968, Stewart joined the democratic party which required travelling with Senator Robert Kennedy during his campaign. This song was the Monkees last album and after that they drifted apart.
   Daydream Believer hit the number one spot on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 chart in the December 1967 and it remained there for about four weeks. It also remained at number 5 spot in the UK Singles Chart. The Daydream Believer was the last number one hit in the United States.
   It also had a version which was recorded by Anne Murray in 1979, whose version became number three on the US country singles and named 12th in the Billboard Hot 100 songs.
