Question:

Cordless phone DECT1560 series no dial tone

purchased the phone in Los Angeles, and brought it to Brazil. I already have a Uniden cordless phone here, working 100% perfect. This model though I get NO DIAL tone. I've done everything by the book, nothing worked. I need to get assistance or change the device

I have the same problem. Dialtone with other phones though.

Hi, Go outside your house and find your Telephone Network Interface Device. It should be a small grey box attached to the side of your house probably close to the electric. Open the customer side of that box. Inside, there will be a small module. Open the cover of that module to expose a test jack. Plug a regular corded phone into that jack and see if you have dial-tone. If you don't, then the problem is in the phone company's outside plant. If you do have dial tone there, then the problem is inside your house. Could be the phone, wiring, a jack, etc
