I had been diagnosed with a cholesteatoma approx 11years ago and never had surgery due to so many things happening in my personal life, it was put on the back burner. I recently went back to my ent and was told that further evaluation is needed to determine the extent of the cholesteatoma. I am scheduled to fly by plane in a couple days and am wondering if there is a danger of doing so with cholesteatoma and negative ear pressure. I was told by the ent that if I didn't have problems with previous flights, then I would probably be ok but my last flight was 27 yrs ago.
