My daughter is nine years old and wanted to be on TV since she was able to talk. Many people told me that she has the look and personality to be on TV. So like any other mom I starting doing some research. We went to Barbzion, Page Parkes, and Neal Hamil Agency in Houston. We ended paying for classes with Neal Hamil and at the end of the classes being told to now get a professional photo shoot done on top of the $650 I have already spent. The professional shoot will be an additional $300. How do we really know that these places are not scams? My daughter is guaranteed a six month contract after we get the professional photo shoot done, but still does not guarantee work. Then I was looking on the rip off report and found some of the agency. I was talking about. Can you tell me if the agency I named are any good? Can you tell me what I could do in the situation? Can you tell us where we might be able to find a good reliable agent in Houston, TX? Me and my husband are tired of the run around, and are starting to believe that there is no such thing. Beyonce Knowles is the biggest thing that came from our area and she is not here to help her neighbors out at all.

Look at the price of these photo shoots. A professional photo shoots for $300 isn’t bad. Unless the person taking the photos is lying and has never held a camera, then I think your fine. Once you have these pictures taken, you will know whether it was a scam or not. Usually you can tell beforehand, but if not then you will for sure know afterwards. Usually if you are getting the photos taken with the agency then it is not a scam. I could not find the Barbzia talent agency anywhere on the internet. This is either a small agency or a scam agency. The Page Parkes agency was found, and seemed to be a very good agency. Well known, well priced, and probably not a scam. The Neil Hamil talent agency was definitely the most impressive.

It is a SAG/AFTRA agency, which means it is with the actors who are with SAG and AFTRA, meaning it is definitely not a scam. Once you are fully into a scam situation, and cannot get out of it easily, you can take it up with ACTRA, AFTRA, SAG, or whatever association you are with for safety. You can also go to a lawyer. This is not always the best choice, but can sometimes work. It is more for serious scams. If it is more of a minor scam, you could also go to your agent and tell them, they might be able to work it out.
