First of all I don’t think that you are at risk of having any dangerous disease like cancer, because if if that was to happen then it would have developed way back 15 years ago when you had abdominal problems but to be on the safe side do check yourself for some of the signs that can be symptoms of cancer developing in your body.
First of you can check the color of your stool, it should not of dark color, like it should not be of black color, it is not a good sign. Any pain in the stomach lasting more than 5-6 days at the localized and same region. Unexpected weight loss. Fatigue and tiredness and paleness. If such symptoms you should consult your doctor immediately. But still it is recommended that since you are having digestion problems for such a long time, so to be on the safe side you should get tested for blood biopsy.
Now the other point is that you don’t wont to get tested, I think it is recommended that you go for long term tests for Celiac disease, because there is might be some problem with the digestive system of your body, or there can be some viruses which remain inside your body for many years and remain unidentified unless you get yourself properly tested.
