Can you snort suboxone? There must be a right technique of doing so. Is it dangerous to snort it?

    Wow, theres people who are going through the worst withdrawls of their lives, and you people are abusing the ONE drug that has saved sooo many lives.  Suboxne has a high affinity to the opiate receptors in your brian and all over your body.  When you take it sublingually, the naloxone doesnt get used by your body. Thats only there to stop you from shooting up suboxone.  If you shoot it, you get withdrawls, simple fact.  Its 20 times more potent than morphine and everyone is different.  People really need to get themselves educated about this medicine.

    Yes, you can snort suboxones. I know of quiet a few people that do it on a regular basis, but if your not use to the suboxones then they will make you a lil sick.

     Hello there!

    I have never took heroin,, but last night in a bar i was introduced to "snorting subbys",.

    beliveing that i will try everything once i snorted the whole 8ml given to me,, - yes it got me instantly trollyed, im not sure if i enjoyed it all last month as could barely move very shortly afterwards,, it is now 24 hours afterwards and im still throwing up regularly,, its really quite unpleasant and i won't be doing it again.

    i wouldnt recomend this for recreational use, but if your a heroin addict it seems to be a good way of staying clear of the smack,

    i think i'm going to go be sick again - and thats that!

    Subs are a joke.. I got them prescribed for my opiate addiction and all I ended up doing was trading one drug for another. Let me tell you, yes Suboxone does make you feel great, no matter if you put it under your tongue or snort it. I don't know how old this post is but I had to reply to it. I have a lot of experience with this medication, I have been on it for 3 years now and I can't get through my day without it. Please, if you are an addict just go to a good rehab and don't take Methadone OR Suboxone, and if you have to, don't take it for too long. And if you find yourself addicted to Suboxone, just ween yourself down VERY slowly. I do not suggest coming off it cold turkey. I'm a 20 year old female sick and tired of having to do these nasty orange pills, don't end up like me. I can't sit here and tell you that they work when they really don't. Yes, they'll get you off the opiates, but what will get you off the subs? Nothing.

    thats so stupid all of you, putting it under your tongue is just as good and the way your supposed to do it, 4-8 mg a day, only, and the bup in it is like what they use to get heroin overdose patients out of there overdose so they dont die. that dosent get you higher. at all. it is a life saver. that is what Dr's use to save lives for heroin overdose if they get to u in time, that is why you cannot overdose on suboxone, because of that other drug in it. it is to save you from overdoseing. so stop being idiots and take it like you should

    Honestly people, why all this experimenting with such a dangerous drug when used other than directed?  It is intended to keep you OFF drugs, not to be a substitute to get high.  I was a IV Oxy user for 5 years and had a very high tolerance and expensive habit.  It absolutely ruled every part of my life and every minute I was sick w/ withdrawals I hated it!  I have finally found a way to not ever be sick again and that is the wonder drug of Suboxone.  Just take it like you're supposed to and stop that crazy insane addict lifestyle.  If you hate the way you feel when you're not high then you need to get counseling and figure out why you can't deal with life!  It took me a solid year of intense counseling and rehab inpatient and outpatient to figure out how to deal with life again and it was and is definitely one of the hardest things I've ever done and I have to make a decision daily to stay clean.  I'll be honest the thought still crosses my mind but thanks to suboxone and taking it correctly I can't act on those impulses and I have successfully been clean w/o a slip up for 3 years.  Suboxone is a miracle drug and I am so grateful to be able to once again live a normal functional life and not worry about how to get high anymore!

     I have been on suboxone for 3 months now. i have had my times when i relapsed though only for a day. i have actually been taking it off and on since 2003. I am in a sober living/program and there are about 8 people on subs. all different doses. i am on 16 mg. i have a high tolerance to opiates. all drugs at that. i have to shoot anywhere from a half gram to gram to a gram of h to get high. I am not bragging i am just telling the truth. so it takes alot for me to feel a drug. i just recently read about snorting subs and i have to say i did feel it the first time i snorted it. I got a couple good nods too. I did a whole 8 mg. pill. I did not get sick. i have never gotten sick sick from subs. i have though gotten sick when I detoxed from it. not to back. just the hot chills and fatigue. it also made me depressed. but like all drugs especially subs the detox is always different. So I guess what i am getting at is it does work when you snort it, but it seems like you build a tolerence fast. i have yet to shoot it. i dont have good viens so that could be the issue. and i i.m my h. I do know that is is always better to do youer meds as precribed. ie. dont snot, shot, bump or plug. if you are on it to stay sober, then any other way than  the way it's prescribed is relaspe and u might as well go shoot h or smoke crack!

    lol i've been on suboxone for 4 months. after reading this nonsense, i did what any reasonable addict would do. i snorted 8mgs.  DO NOT DO THIS>my god, it burnt my nose and my throat even more.  i had teary eyes, nose was filled with this orange goop and again, my throat was KILLING ME!  did i get high?  of course not.  didn't feel a thing.  maybe b/c of my tolerance?  who the fk knows/ but it violenty made me remember why i'm on the drug in the first place.  to stay OFF opiates and it's done wonders for me.

    120 days in recovery: clean&sober.  i feel so good.  i'm not powerless to oxys anymore.  it controlled me 24/7, thats all i thought about.  With intensive outpatient treatment, NA meetings and suboxone program I finally feel hope that I can forever beat this.  The biggest chance of sucess in beating opiate addiction is this three-pronged approach that i just mentioned. good luck! and don't sniff suboxone, YIKES!!!!

    yes, you can snort anything. depending on your tolerance will let u know if you arew going to get sick or not. if you dont have a tolerance or addiction to opiates u will puke off of 1/4 of a pill (2mg). you can snort, inject, plug, put under your tongue anything you want with suboxone and u can get a high anyway. but if you have a tolerance to suboxone, you wont get any higher...sorry. first time u bump u'll get a nice buzz, after a few times you wont anymore. it'll be nice for a while. watch ur tolerance though, if you dont use everyday i wouldnt do it. but remember everone responds differently to drugs!! everyone. even the most seasoned drug addict such as myself and others here will respond to things differently. so you only know how u will react and feel by doing it yourself. for me, plugging is the best way to go with bupe....i've done it all but IV...and i wont. but i have heard and felt that less if more with suboxone....have fun!

    Normally when this question is posed you do have the goody goody's out there who say don't snort your pills. To me, snorting is just another route of admistration. Putting Suboxone under your tounge, bump it, IV it, and even plugging it are all ways of administering a drug. In fact snorting Suboxone the bioavailability is higher around 50-60%, compared to sublingually, which is 29% so bumping 4mg is almost the same as taking it as directed. In fact if you choose to snort your Subby's your scriot goes a lot further and is more effective way of administering it. This was quoted in an earlier post "You are not gonna even know if you got high cause you will be dead." Well that isn't entirely accurate Buprenorphine has a ceiling effect which means at higher doses you don't get higher you just lower on your Bupe. This is a very unique drug, in that, the smaller amount you ingest, the more potent the drug becomes. If you're opiate naive, 4 to 8mg will f**k you up and you will be puking all day and all night and all the next day, due to the fact that Bupe half-life is 37 hours. When I was Opiate naive, full on antagonists, like Oxycodone, morphine, and heroine made me puke. Think of it like this, Buprenorphine, when used in hospitals the average dose is .5mg every 4-6 hours, so lets say your on a maitenence dose of 12mg a day of Bupe you're taking close to 25x the amount the average normal person would receive. My brother ingested, sublingually, 4mg and puked all nite and missed work the next day lol. Beings Buprenorphine is a Theabine derivitive it has a lot of the same properties of Oxycodone. Each person is different and reacts differently so this isn't 100% accurate for everybody, but for me Bupe acts alot like Oxycodone, but you feel the effects for 24 hours compared to taking 4 40mg pills of Oxycodone a day. Like Oxy, Bupe gives that more speedy feeling, though Oxy has more of a euphoric high, but Bupe does have it's ability to deliver close to that full on agonistic high. In summary Suboxone/Buprenorphine is a very powerful Opiate and should be treated as such. Opiate naive people should take around 1mg to begin with and people with a higher tolerance can bump anywhere to 4-8mg, though I suggest not all at once. Overdosing on Bupe is possible not very probable and you can only reach a certain level of intoxication with this drug, because the higher the dose you take, Bupe actually starts acting like an antagonist and the narcan in Suboxone is not very effective do to Bupe's very strong affinaty to bonding to opiate receptors in the brain, rendering the narcan useless. IV'ing the drug the narcan be more effective due to the fact that it is very water soluable, Bupe isn't as soluable in water, taking close to 17ml for every 1mg of Bupe.

    Yes, you can get high. Don't try to approach suboxone like hard a*s and think your gonna impress your buddies by snorting a whole pill. Take a razor or sharp knife and cut off about 1/4 of the pill, andthen half it again( now you have two 1/8 pieces). Bust one up and bump it, the take the other 1/8 and put it under your tongue and let it dissolve. doing this will f**k you up! just a warning some people get extremely moody or just plain out bitchy when they come down. I suggest bumping an adderal with is so you don't nod off.

    Dude above me is full of s**t. I occasionally use vicodin, maybe twice a month or less, and recently took about 4mg under my tongue and snorted the other 4mg. I was fucked up out of my mind. It was an intense opiate feeling but without the usually experienced euphoria. I couldn't keep my eyes open, became very pale, and was constantly nodding off. It most definitely possible to get high from snorting suboxone. I don't know what the guy above is talking about, or where he gets his information. However, I would not recommend such a high dose as I took. I am 210 pounds and that was way to much for me. The next day I had work, and threw up multiple times during my job. It was like an extremely bad alcohol hang over. I have heard, although this is not verified, that snorting it causes extra nausea. But, my friend, it is of course up to you, so do what you will. I can only offer advice based on personal experience, unlike this bullshit feeder above me. Good luck!

    My friend and his girl each snorted half of an 8mg suboxone and they were nodded out. You can snort just DO NOT INJECT. If u usually don't do opiates and snort it you will get high. I watched them do it!
