Of course, anyone can marry to his cousin if he or she does not have any objection. I do not think there is any legal issue involving in that.

Yes they are though it's very uncommon that first kin wed in Australia. The Marriage Act prohibits persons marrying: * an ancestor or descendant; or * their male sibling or sister (whether entire body-fluid or half-blood siblings) these limits furthermore request to adoptive connections even if these have been annulled, called off, released or stop to be productive for any cause (for demonstration, a later adoption alignment being made). This entails, for demonstration, that a individual will not wed their parent, grandparent, progeny, offspring, male sibling or sister. However, (depending of course on the gender of the party) a individual may wed their auntie or uncle, niece or relation or ‘first’ cousin.

The Marriage Act prohibits people marrying: an ancestor or descendant; or their brother or sister (whether whole blood or half-blood siblings) These restrictions also apply to adoptive relationships even if these have been annulled, cancelled, discharged or cease to be effective for any reason (for example, a subsequent adoption order being made). This means, for example, that a person cannot marry their parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, brother or sister. However, (depending of course on the gender of the party) a person may marry their aunt or uncle, niece or nephew or ‘first’ cousin.
