Can my US purchased droid be used in Europe?

I purchased Droid in US. I am concerned that it is a non GSM model, so when I go to Europe (where I live), I will have issues establishing service. Can anyone confirm or clarify? I have read that Germany will be launching under 02 a version of Droid called Milestone, but I have no idea if my US purchased phone will be able to interface. Thanks.

    No. It does not have a gsm radio. No app will help unless you make calls via wifi.

    I think if you get your Phone "unlocked" you would be able to use the phone on the European networks such as T-Mobile.
