Rajon Pierre Rondo is a very popular American professional basketball player. It is expected that he will give a tough competition against New York Knicks. He has performed remarkably well against them for many times. No doubt he is the best player of the time and can play a vital role for Boston Celtics. I think it is not easy to stop Rando for New York Nicks. Let see what tactics they adopt to slow him down .
He plays at the position of point guard for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 22, 1986. He started playing basketball when he was studying in the school before getting a scholarship from the University of Kentucky. In 2006, he began his career in the NBA Draft, introduced by agent Bill Duffy. Soon, he got popularity as a very swift player of NBA.
In 2010–11 seasons, Rondo got 17 assists, which equaled with Oscar Robertson for the third-most assists in a season opener. In the third game of the 2011 season, he gained a career-high 24 assists and also got triple-double against the New York Knicks. It is the only player with Isiah Thomas in National Basketball Association history to acquire at least 24 assists in a triple-double. His got total 50 assists in his first three games of the season tied John Stockton's NBA record for most assists in the first 3 games of the season.
The season started for Rando also with injuries. He was unable to play three games in November because of strained left hamstring. On December 15, 2010, he suffered left ankle twist in a win against the New York Knicks, and did not play the next seven games.
