I have recently purchased a Hitachi Combination microwave with grill rack with little rubber feet. I need to know can I use the metal grill rack supplied for microwave/convection cooking?

In the blend mode, the microwaves are utilised for a short length in the microwave mode. Therefore, a steel rack shouldn't be utilised in Convection blend mode. The rack has no pointed borders and the gap between the rods of the rack is large sufficient to avert sparking and to permit the microwave to overtake through. The grill rack is only to increase the nourishment to arrive nearer to quartz heater component for much quicker browning. I have a microwave/grill too. Use the rack for the grill and combo settings. The entire notion (metal in the microwave) bewildered me at the start too, but I've had it for a while and gotten utilised to it. Don't concern, it's safe. Those things arrive in all microwave convection ovens. They don't spark like normal steel does. It's fine for both. But if you're skeptical, read the instructions.
