A generous England has found ways to lose the opening two One-Day Internationals against Australia, but have they given away too much of a lead to win the seven match series?

    Conceding a 2-0 lead to Australia in any circumstance is going to be a dangerous business and with the Aussies no doubt still smarting from their Ashes loss they'll be keen to take victory in this seven match series. On the flipside, England has thrown away winning chances in both the opening ODIs. If England are to regroup and win the series, they'll need to avoid disasters such as the top order batting collapse in the second match that saw England move from 74 without loss to 4-97 after giving away some easy wickets. England may well find itself rueing its missed opportunities in the early matches as the series progresses.
