England manager Fabio Capello has enjoyed a superb start to his tenure and can begin to set his sights on World Cup glory if qualification is sealed on Wednesday night against Croatia.

    As Sven-Goran Eriksson's tenure as England manager proved, qualification doesn't always provide a realistic insight into how the team will fair in major tournaments. But Capello has a proven track record of winning trophies and will give England their best chance in years of progressing to the later stages of the World Cup. Winning the trophy will require a degree of luck, and England aren't without their weak points either. I think the target will be a place in the semis, but are England really capable of going further?
