    If you want the added services from XM like radio and weather. And if you want the satellite photos you need to buy them from Bushnell directly (but unlimited downloads cost only $30/yr). However, the actual GPS features will work out of the box with no additional fees. CN: Yes, unless you want to use the advanced features.
