Brian tumor has been classified into more than 120 types. Today, most medical institutions get information about brain tumor by using the World Health Organization (WHO) classification system. The WHO classifies brain tumors by cell origin and how the cells behave, from the least aggressive (benign) to the most aggressive (malignant). All the types of brain tumor have the similar types of symptoms.

    Headaches
Headaches are a common initial symptom. Typical "brain tumor headaches" are often diagnosed as severe in the morning, and gradually decreases during the day. They may rouse the person from sleep. Sometimes, upon awakening, the person vomits then feels better headaches could worsen with coughing, exercise, or with a change in position such as bending or kneeling.
    Seizures
Normally, people with brain tumor do not know about the illness until they have a seizure. Seizures are a common symptom of a brain tumor. Seizures are caused by a disruption in the normal flow of electricity in the brain.
    Mental and/or Personality Changes
people with Brian Tumor also get the illness of short-term memory, speech, communication or concentration changes to severe confusion. Changes in behavior, temperament and personality migh be associated with the tumor location. These changes can be caused by the tumor itself, by increase of pressure within the skull due to of the presence of the tumor, or by involvement of the parts of the brain that control personality.
Other symptom is the mass effect caused by intracranial pressure increase. It is  also called IICP.

The signs of brain tumors differ from person to person and it depends on the location of the tumor in the brain and on its size. With the growth of tumor the brain tissue damage which create pressure on the brain. Many symptoms are related to the growth of the tumor, for instance if the growth of the tumor is slow then it can be possible that its symptoms may not appear for some time. In many cases a fluid surrounded the tumor due to which the tumor swells and this fluid can damages the vital tissues of brain; such condition is termed as edema. Different types of diagnostic test can be used to find if the cause of your symptoms is a brain tumor and if it is a primary or secondary one. The most common symptoms of brain tumors are given below:
    • Headaches that tend to be worse in the morning and ease during the day
    • Seizures or convulsions
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Weakness or loss of feeling in the arms or legs
    • Stumbling or lack of coordination in walking
    • Abnormal eye movements or changes in vision
    • Drowsiness
    • Changes in personality or memory
    • Changes in speech
