It was an impressive F1 season for Brawn, winning the championship on their first attempt. But with reports of a takeover making the news, it looks like 2009 will be both Brawn's first and last. Has a team ever made a quicker exit from the F1 scene?

This page has a good list of defunct Formula One teams going right back through the history of F1: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Formula_One_constructors It shows how many races each team competed in - in recent history, the team that was Jordan, became Midland for the 2006 season (18 races), then became Spyker for the 2007 season (17 races), so they equal Brawn's 17 races in the 2009 season. Going back through history there are several constructors who competed in fewer races. Andrea Moda completed 9 races in 1992, for isntance. There are even constructors listed as only competing in a single Grand Prix, The most recent being Apollon, who entered a single car in the 1977 Italian Grand Prix.
