I obtained a two part brass cylinder at an estate auction. It is about 6" long and about 3" in diameter. It comes apart into two sections with each section being like a cup. Inside it has a balance bar which the two cups hook onto. One on each end to balance each other out. There is a small cloth sack with two square flat weights and four round weights. The cylinder and weights are all marked with 1879 and R244. Each weight is numbered as follows: 4 & 5 are flat and square; 10,20,40, and 60 are the round ones. Anybody out there know what I have? Does it have value as a collector's item? Thanks, Arnie
