The Monkees released their fifth album in April 1968 named as The Birds, The Bees and The Monkees. It charted at number three and eventually it sold over million copy. There was a mixed response for the tickets in the year 1968. They also started a TV series which was cancelled at their own request. Although there initial albums failed but later in the year The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees proved to be a massive success.
This album contains some of the most fabulous songs such as Daydream Believer. It was a pop song written by former Trio member of Kingston Trio John Stewart.
There were two tracks of the album which really held up the album and also shows the talent of singer Davy Jones who produced two songs named as Valleri and the other one Daydream Believer.
After they got full control over the album they started playing the instruments on their own records in 1967. Headquarters and Pisces, Aquarius, Capricon was a big success and it showed that the Monkees was a really talented band and their success was not only due to just luck.
Several songs from the album The Birds, The Bees and the Monkees, really stood out and were some of the finest due to their good finish.
Vocals of the famous song Daydream Believer were played by the vocalist Davy Jones and the drum was played by Eddie Hoh while the guitar was played by Mike Nesmith.
