Even dough the batteries are new, the battery indicator is blinking as if batteries are empty

    Hold down the ERASE/DELETE button when powering on the camera.

    keep trying to put in new batreries. if it still doesn't work, go out and go to the store where u got ur pentax ist DL. tell someone who works there and c if they can help.
