The scale has great repeatability. Step on it once and every reading after that is exactly the same as the first, however, now pick up an item in your hand that is about a pound or so, and weight again. Instead of giving me a higher reading, it still reads the same as when I first stepped on the scale. If I pick up an item of say 5 lbs. and step on the scale then it reads about 5 lbs more. Bear in mind that I am stepping off the scale every time before a new reading is taken. If I wait for 5 minutes and weigh again I do get a different number. Is there a memory issues here, or is there an algorythm that does not allow a reading close to the original reading to display within so many minutes?
