Ati graphics card no sound

I have an older amd athlon copmuter about 5 years old I had a tech reformat my hard drive & reload win xp & i have no sound.My tower is hooked up through an RGB cable to a 42" tv. I have an ati graphics card.What do i do from here?I was told to go 2 your guys website.Or can this be taken care of throgh win XP.
