I'm 4'10. When I was young it never bothered me. Now it does sometimes when people stare or laugh and make comments. I look very young for my
age; I'm 40 and I look like a kid. Most of the time I'm ok with it.
My late husband was 6'4". I will NEVER date anyone that tall again.
People made such a big deal about it. We could rarely go out without
people giving us a hard time. I like men who are around 5' 10". Big enough to make me feel protected, but not too big!

im (4,9) and guys seem to think im cute cuz im short but i wish i could be taller sometimes bt my boyfriend says that he thinks im adorable cuz im short.

I prefer a shorter girl more my size, being only 5'2", I would rather have a girl my size maybe an inch or two taller. I really never ask a girl out if she way taller than me, a taller girl is no different from a shorter girl. (only by height)

I felt great being tall at about 5'8 until I met hubby who is 6'4 and makes me feel short :-(

do u know 1 thing. men have greater affinity to short and sexy women then tall. this is coz we dont want women to suprass us.so dont fell abt being short. jus leave it.

Short and tall for me is one of the last things I look at when a girl catches my eye.

She may care if she is taller then me but I don't rate that high in my books.

What radiates from inside her usually catches me first among other traites. I,ve been attracted to taller and shorter girls all because of who they are, not the packaging.

I'm not. I'm 5'8", and with a minimum of heels, I look most men in the eye. I love being tall, and I have met a lot of men who like tall women.

I have found that some men who like petite women are also more likely to expect "traditional" behavior out of them (helpless, cute, passive behavior).

I prefer tall women, I'm 6'2" and my g/f is 5'8" we would look stupid walking together if she was like 5'2" and cute is annoying.

I'm athletic but short and wiry > in an ideal world I'd prefer to be larger and stronger. But I'm not too worried about it, and being short has some advantages :-)

I think it'd be harder to be a short man though.

Tracey - yes, that has been a problem sometimes and can be annoying. Some men seem to think that because a woman is short she is less able to look after herself. And I don't mind if people think I'm 'cute' but when strangers start patting me on the head (this has actually happened a couple of times, in clubs) .... well, they soon wish that they hadn't :-)

One thing that DOES disturb me a little is people implying that men are only attracted to short, thin women because they have paedophilic tendencies. I've read comments to that effect on here only a few days ago. This is pretty disgusting and people should really think about what they are saying.

At 5' 0", I consider myself too short. I would like to be about six inches taller.

Actually I do feel being short (5'3) is very feminine. I get a lot of attention. I think it makes a man feel big and strong to be around us. BUT, if I go out with my tall girlfriends, they almost always steal the spotlight. They aren't any prettier, they just have that tall advantage. And almost all of them wear big heels to emphasize their height. So, somehow tall seems to equal sexy. When I'm around that, I wish I was taller, because sexy is always an edge I like to have.

Plus, it's so hard to find a sexy pair of jeans being short!

I am 5 foot nothing. I LOVE being short. The only thing I hate is hemming all my pants, but there are a few brands that cater to the very petite.

I've grown to like being small, but I still wish I could be a bit taller sometimes. I'm 5'1-5'2ish, and men do seem to like that; my boyfriend said it makes him feel very protective of me. The good thing about being short is that you can always wear heels if you want to look taller, but tall people can't make themselves shorter!

Im a female and Im 5'11 and I HATE it, i wish i was like 5'2 so i could be petite and short. Its cute when your short. My husband said he likes tall women but hes also 6'4 so i think it depends on the height of the guy.

I'm just under 5'2 and love it. I'm slim, so I wear a size 0-2. I don't want to be taller. I love wearing shoes with heels 4-5 inches tall. If I were even 2-3 inches taller, the shoes would make me too tall. I like guys who are 5'5-5'9 because we can dance eye to eye and they "fit" me. My ex was 6'4 and I hated that.

The only downside is weight gain. 5 pounds moves me to a different pants size. People don't get it. 5 pounds on a 6 ft. tall woman won't even be noticed by most, but on me it's very noticable. I never get rid of my size 4 clothing, just in case.

I much prefer shorter women, tall women are ok but my preference is short, I agree that short women are cute, Ive never understood the whole 'tall leggy' thing that guys are supposed to like.

I like being short and honestly don't care wat anyone thinks of me...i like 2 just b myself...we only get 1 lyfe so we better enjoy it now not wasting our lyfe over being tall, small, big, skinny, etc...Being short is fun but there r some disadvantages 2 it...not being high enough for rides, can't reach things....but thats ok. :) hehe
