I heard this somewhere that the answer is 366, but i worked it out different.... k so..3ppl 3 baskets each...9 baskets.
3 cats per basket = 27 cats.
3 kittens per cat = 81 kittens.
4 legs per kitten = 324 kitten legs
4 legs per cat = 108 cat legs
4 ppl total on the buss (Anus,Bre,Darcy and the driver)2 get off = 6 human legs left.
324+108+6= 438 legs left on the bus.
i ahve the answer!! i wont give it totally away but heres a clue. consider that the names given at the start are not people but the cats in the basket belonging to the bus driver....Ken O'Shea in Ireland
144 is the answer.
I'm very close, but maybe together we will sort it out.
2 legs for each passenger3 passengers x 2 legs = 6
In each basket was 12 cat's legs9 baskets x 12 legs = 108
The kittens were all over the bus (not in baskets as they wouldn't fit :) )9 kittens for every 3 cats gives us 81 kittens.81 kittens x 4 legs each = 324
Before bus stopped we have 324+108+6=438 legs on the bus.Bus is stopping and 2 people are leaving:438 - 4 = 434
Each of them has only two hands so they are able to take only two baskets each witch three cats inside of each basket.12 legs in each basket.4 baskets x 12 legs = 48
434-48 = 386
Does it mean that one cat legged it when the door opened ???
WTF
Yep, the answer is 382. No idea how they arrived at it though. They had a similar version of the problem, where only Bre got off, and the answer was 404. Its still wrecking my head! If I figure it out, I will let y'all know...
382 - but how ????
